Dear Lovemaking Answers:

I have a quick question. I am curious as to what foods can make your body fluids taste more pleasant and which foods to avoid? Also foods other than oysters to use as aphrodisiacs.

Denise -

Good question! And the answer will not only improve the taste of your fluids, but also improve the smell of your body! I am sure you have been around the person who drinks heavily and the smell of alcohol pours from their pores - this is the same thing. Changing your diet to create a pleasant body fluid will change your body's natural odor as well.

Some foods and things to avoid are:

Coffee, alcohol, and nicotine. Also avoid these vegetables - vegetables from the cabbage family such as brussel sprouts. Other big offenders include cauliflower, broccoli, or asparagus. Avoid heavy spices such as garlic and onions. If you are a red meat lover, cut your consumption. Too much dairy can also adversely affect body fluids. Stick to chicken and turkey. Fish can swing either way, so test it and see what it does.

Fruit that is high in natural sugars can sweeten the fluid, so try fruits like pineapple, papaya, cranberry, melons, mangos, apples and grapes. Natural yoghurt (not the flavored processed ones) are great as well. Parsley, wheatgrass, and celery are particularly recommended for a sweeter taste, because of their high chlorophyll content. Spices such as cinnamon, cardamom, peppermint and lemon are particularly recommended.

Food has often been linked to sexual desire or performance, but there is no proven link that any food actually can enhance sex drive. But that does not mean certain foods, by their very implications, cause arousal. We have been told oysters are an aphrodisiac, therefore we feel more aroused when we eat them. But don't let the fact that food really does not have inherent arousal qualities stop you from enjoying them! Here are some foods that traditionally have been linked to enhanced sexual desire (interestingly enough some of them are the same ones you are to avoid if you want to sweeten your body fluids!):

Alcohol - as long as you don't over indulge, alcohol can be great at lowering inhibitions.

Asparagus - according to history three courses of asparagus were served to 19th century bridegrooms due to its reputed aphrodisiac powers.

Caviar - is high in zinc, which stimulates the formation of testosterone, maintaining male functionality. This might be the only true aphrodisiac.

Chocolate - contains both a sedative which relaxes and lowers inhibitions and a stimulant to increase activity and the desire for physical contact.

Ginseng - increases desire for physical contact.

Radish - considered a divine aphrodisiac by Egyptian pharaohs, most likely because its spicy taste stimulated the palate.

Truffles - probably due to its rarity and musky aroma, it has long been considered to arouse the palate and the body.

Just create a memorable meal with some of the above ingredients and then create some other memories!

You ask a very "favorite" question of mine. I wholeheartedly enjoy people who are curious about body fluids. It's a curious way to describe them and I smile each time I read your question. Fruits can cause the fluids (or as I call them "love juices") to be sweet. Strawberries can be used not only to sweeten the juices, but also as an aphrodisiac. Especially when it is dipped into chocolate. Chocolate however, doesn't taste so good going in as it does coming back out in juice form. So, don't overdo the chocolate.

As far as fruits, pineapple and peaches seem to do quite well for me. Banana (I've personally discovered) not only increases the sweetness, but also increases the density. Or literally, gives you a bigger mouthful/load/pie..whatever you prefer to call it. I read in a Playboy magazine once that banana juicers are what male porn stars guzzle in order to perform better.

Hi Denise:

Some foods are considered aphrodisiacs because of their
suggestive shapes, wonderful aromas or how sensual they feel in your mouth. Basically if it raises your libido  (whether through actual ability, or it raises your body temperature, increases blood flow, reduces stress, alters your brain chemistry or simply through power of suggestion) it can be considered an aphrodisiac.

Here are a list of foods thought to be aphrodisiacs:

Wild Salmon
Chile Peppers
Gogi Berries

and for some, alcohol due to the fact that it relaxes you
and can lower your inhibitions!
